Harness The Power Of Your Digital Ecosystem
It’s been a few weeks since we last saw the inside of an office. Although still a little strange (and sometimes challenging), most of us are getting pretty used to this new way of working and reaping some of the unforeseen benefits.
This got us thinking, just how prepared are we to return to our workplace? Is going to work ever going to be the same again? What can we learn from this experience?
There have been many blogs and whitepapers written on the future of working, but this flashforward experience has proved that digital tools define the way we work and will continue to do so as we move forward.
Over the past few weeks we have seen a trend of increased readership on intranets and employees’ engagement on social channels as we need (and choose!) to stay in touch with one another. But for some, this experience has not been a positive one. Poorly executed digital tools are showing their fragility and a lack of adoption is causing people to lose communication and continuity.
Delivering a tool is easy. Gaining employees’ trust and desire to embrace said tool is more of a challenge.
Having a clear strategy of how your digital tools work together, with a considered adoption plan, is what we specialise in. Here are just a few of the things we can help you with to ensure you are getting the most out of your ecosystem:
Intranet
The intranet is the first port of call for many employees. Keeping content fresh and engaging is essential in keeping them connected to what is going on and ensuring they become a frequent visitor.
As part of the Reply group we are involved throughout the entire cycle, whether it’s developing a new or existing intranet to partnering with our clients and looking at alternate ways to deliver the important information.
Social Networks
Social networks such as Yammer and Workplace are a really compelling way to give your employees a voice. Some companies may shy away from social channels, but user generated content allows for organic and honest views to come from your employee base.
As many companies have begun to bring these tools onboard, we have helped them instil a strong community that provide true insights allowing them to measure the success of their communications: launch campaigns, competitions and strategic content plans to name a few.
Collaboration Platforms
If we have learnt anything from these strange times, it’s that collaboration tools are essential in keeping us working productively. Keeping dispersed teams up-to-date can be made easier with clear project structure and document management.
We have supported many businesses as they onboard employees through this change and having recently adopted Microsoft Teams ourselves, we will have navigated through the same pitfalls you may find yourselves in. We can support you in centring your projects around a collaboration tool, whichever platform you decide to go with.
Gamification
Creating rewarding and incentivised learning through gamification has been proved to enhance employee retention and make their learning experience more enjoyable. Whether it’s building healthy competition between your employees or simply just having a bit of fun with that everyday PDF, gamification improves your employees’ motivation to engage with content.
We are huge advocates of gamification and have been delivering a variety of different games and platforms to ensure that employees can get the most out of their experience. We have a number of case studies and working demos of our platforms if you would like to try some out for yourself.
Employee App
As we enter an age of employees working flexible hours and out of office spaces, getting communication to them efficiently has never been more important. Delivering content straight to your employees’ hands with an app enables people to quickly get the information they need. Careful use of push notifications can be used to cut-through the noise and deliver important news.
Choosing the right platform or even knowing what you need can be daunting but we are here to support you in making the right decision for you business.
Don’t let people hear things through the grapevine. Ensure your digital tools are working the way they should be so your employees can stay connected as we ready ourselves for the next stage of working. Wherever that may be.
