Let the games begin
Fun? At work? Surely not…we don’t condone that sort of thing here!
Actually, we're lying, we do.
And we’re finding that having fun and specifically using gamification is reaping its rewards for our clients.
We say this a lot, but a more engaged workforce equals a better customer experience, and that can only be a good thing.
Don’t just take our word for it, recently one of our clients took our recommendation to lead their next campaign with gamification and engagement with it went up to 72% - one of the highest engagement scores they’ve reached. Not only that, customer experience scores went up by 10% as a direct link to the campaign.
So, if you’ve got something you need to land with your workforce, say a new system, or a new product you want to get your people raving about, or maybe it’s linked to Learning and Development and then you should think about how gamification could help you.
Our resident expert, Matt Hill has some top tips on where to start;
- It doesn’t need to be the next platform game or app phenomena – the simpler to use games are the best and most addictive!
- Creating competition amongst colleagues is a great way to drive people to a game. Games with scores or times creates conversation, and a leader-board showing other results make people want to better themselves
- Try and ensure the game will only take 1-2 minutes to play. It’ll make people play more – the longer a game is perceived to take, the less participation
These are just a few thoughts to get you started, but if you want the experts to help, then get in touch and we can chat over a game of canasta…no I have no idea what it is either, but it makes us sound clever.
